In 2005, Guus and Silvia, dutch of origin, discovered a beautiful old winery in Piedmont, Italy, at the time still a relatively unknown region which they immediately fell in love with. A year later, they took the leap, moved to the little village Cartosio, and began an ambitious restoration project.

Over the years, Casa Bonta has been transformed into an agriturismo with four apartments and eight luxury safari tents, where you can completely unwind, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, delicious food, and fine wines.

For their children, Yara and Joris, Piedmont soon became home. Moving there at the ages of 11 and 9, they grew up among the vineyards and rolling hills.

Yara developed a special love for the region and the welcoming life of Casa Bonta. From 2026 onwards, she and her Italian husband, Kilian, will run Casa Bonta. With the same warmth and dedication as her parents, Guus and Silvia, they continue their work so that guests feel welcome and can fully enjoy everything Piedmont has to offer.
