From October, the season for the white truffle begins, one of the most exclusive and sought-after truffles in the world. The famous Fiera del Tartufo, a festival entirely dedicated to this special fungus, takes place in the city of Alba. White truffles can also be found on restaurant menus in Piedmont, though you should expect a higher price compared to the summer truffle.
